I offer both individual therapy and couple's therapy. The initial session is an assessment in which I will ask questions giving you an opportunity to talk about your concerns and giving me the sense of why you wish to begin therapy. If we decide to work together, sessions are on a regular basis, lasting for 50 minutes at my practice with the number of sessions based on your needs and concerns.

Individual therapy:

There are times when we need to seek help and support to process the difficulties that challenge our lives. Some people are looking for meaning in their lives, have a sense of dissatisfaction about themselves or concerned about their reality of a lack of fulfilment. For other people, it is anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties. Or perhaps you can’t quite put your finger on exactly what it is that makes life feel a bit heavy. A common reason for therapy is often due to wanting to change a situation or due to a situation having forced a change on you.

Couple's therapy:

At times, a person needs to think through their thoughts and feelings on their own, within the privacy of individual sessions. Other times, the emotional distress might be based in a relationship and therefore seeing a therapist together helps. The function of couple's therapy is to create a safe and respectful environment in which both partners can communicate with each other and deepen their understanding of each other. My aim is to see how you interact with each other in order to gain an understanding of each partner’s contribution to their own and to the other’s emotional world.
