About me

I’m an accredited, integrative psychotherapist. This means I draw on different ways of working that are specifically suited to my clients. I have a wide range of clinical experience within both the public and private sector, and I presently work in private practice.

I believe that each person is unique in the way that they experience life with all its dilemmas, conflicts, traumas, contradictions, and aspirations. These may encompass general daily anxieties or complex and difficult situations. Therapy is a choice to attempt to make sense of experiences that remain inaccessible to meaning and purpose.

My therapeutic approach focuses on the client and helps them to find a way of developing understandings of their interior world. These understandings, together with their experiences of the external world, help to provide purpose and meaning. Therapy can help you to accept things you cannot control and/or to take action to control the things you can. I believe therapy to be a process closely related to learning and that through therapy, you can learn about yourself; discover ways to overcome difficulties; develop inner strengths or skills; and make changes to yourself and your situation. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you think about your feelings in private, allowing for reflection and change, growth and development as and when you are ready.

I am a member of UKCP and subscribe to their code of ethics and act in accordance with their code of practice.
